Thank you for visiting us on the web and I pray that you will visit us here at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. I am truly honored to serve the Lord here at Mt. Zion as Pastor. We were organized in 1922 as a mission church. We are affiliated with the Holston Baptist association and the Southern Baptist Convention. It is a good church with a good foundation laid on the Word of God.

We have been blessed by God with a great outpouring of His Spirit. Many souls have been saved and an abundance of spiritual growth is the tangible evidence of His work. “To God be the glory, great things He has done!”

My platform and passion for ministry is the inerrancy, infallibility, and inspiration of the Holy Scriptures. From them I promise never to deviate nor dilute, for it is the Word of God alone that is our strength and our stay!  With His inspired Word we learn that God’s grace is so amazing that it is greater than all of man’s sin, and that His mercy is extended to all who will believe. With this being stated, it is my desire under the leadership of the Holy Spirit to preach the Word of God in order to win souls to Christ, and to encourage and equip the saint that together we may fulfill the Great Commission.
