Ministry Staff: Pastor June 2001 to June 2008

Pastor Jamie and Wife Tracey

Pastor Jamie was born and raised in Elizabethton, Tennessee. He was blessed to be brought up in a strong Christian home and Bible believing church. Hunter First Baptist Church in Elizabethton had been his church home until he answered the Lord’s call to preach the gospel in 1998.

Pastor Jamie holds degrees from both East Tennessee State University, and Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute in Hendersonville, North Carolina. He has served churches in Butler, Elizabethton and here in Jonesborough as our pastor from June 2001 until June 2008.

During his pastorate, many were saved and the church more than tripled in size directly resulting in many expansions and additions with more to follow. His vision was filled with the hopes of an abundant harvest in these last days.

To God be the glory great things He hath done!

Rhonda Honeycutt

Born to Godly parents, the late Rev James & Dorothy Ferguson, Rhonda accepted Christ as Savior and Lord at an  early age in a small church located in the mountains of North Carolina. As an answer to her father's prayers the  Lord blessed her with a love for music and the gifts to play, sing, and direct.

She followed her father from church to church to help with the music ministry, which lead her to Mt. Zion. She first  held the position as pianist and then followed God's calling into Choir Directing in the late 1990's.
